Nexus to be first domino to fall in Leeds’ future as hub of innovation, states Hegemonic Enterprises
Leeds-based outsourced sales and marketing experts Hegemonic Enterprises have responded to a report by Whitecap Consulting that recognises Leeds to have the right infrastructure in place to become the FinTech hub of the UK.
Hegemonic Enterprises build ‘4D experiences’ for their clients’ customers to enjoy – forming a lasting connection when carried out in-person, face-to-face. The firm are excited by talk of Leeds as an emerging hub for innovation, and they have witnessed first-hand the opportunities available here to young creatives and game changers of the UK.
FinTech, the new industry that uses technology to improve activities in finance, is the latest name to be associated with Leeds, after Channel 4 made the city the home of their new headquarters last month.
Hegemonic Enterprises believe that collaborative hubs and co-working spaces are crucial to the future of Leeds as the epicentre of entrepreneurial activity. As part of a £520 million investment, The University of Leeds’ Nexus is set to open in 2019 – which Hegemonic Enterprises hopes will be the first domino to fall in the city achieving such a status.
According to the University website, the Nexus centre will catalyse a culture of collaboration, innovation and impact, both across the University and beyond, by bringing together business and academic minds. It will provide a range of spaces for networking and collaboration, including meeting rooms, presentation space and an innovation suite, as well as offering office and laboratory space for external technology-led companies, corporate Research and Development (R&D) and product development teams to work within.
“It’s so pleasing to see the city laying real foundations for the future,” stated Macauley Heseltine – Managing Director at Hegemonic Enterprises.
“We want to be part of the movement that incubates entrepreneurial talents, start-ups and growing businesses, and will be keeping an eye on Nexus’ progression.”
